About
Our Story
Like so many ideas, this site traces its genesis to a noisy, crowded bar. We were gathered around the big screen, watching a contentious match. Some of us were outraged by the obvious injustice on display, while others were convinced the referee was clearly doing a good job. We argued in circles, trying to convince each other of the truth, but we were all ultimately powerless to prove our respective cases.
What we needed was some objective way of telling the good refs from the bad, the well-run games from the fiascos, the lucky teams from the hard done by.
This site attempts to do just that, in two ways. First, by gathering statistics about the 23rd man on the pitch. But there's only so much meaning that can be extracted from basic match data. The indicators that really matter — bias, accuracy, consistency, control — are lacking. And that's where your opinion comes in. Your ratings of the referee's performance are gathered, as well, and used to assemble a comprehensive profile of each referee, each team, and each fan.
So, before your team's next match, check out how they (and the other team, too) perform under this ref. When the match is over, let the world know what you think of the ref's performance. And the next time you find yourself engaged in a heated debate in a crowded bar, we hope you find this site useful.

Cheers!
